Interactive Load-Shedding Map
I think it’s safe to say that Eskom has cemented itself as the most hated organisation in South Africa. Utterly useless at providing us with the electricity we need, their business offering is quite unique – they must be the first company ever, that does NOT want people to use their service. Load-shedding has become the norm in South African winters and this year it is even more irritating than usual, due to the Soccer World Cup.
The last thing you want is to be cut off in the middle of a big game, so it kind of pays to know when your area is being left in the dark.
The schedule that Eskom provides on their website is pretty useless unless you’re a rocket-scientist, but this interactive map makes it very easy to see when your area will load-shed.
I can’t testify for the accuracy of the info, but I hope it helps
